After releasing album "Lighthouse" and a few singles from it, the band took a music pause. Ole started new project called Subshine - https://www.facebook.com/iamSubshine

Anders playing guitar for "Bloody Beach" and Paal recently made some music via his project Souldrop. Band also has some festival appearence last year, but no news on new material soon.

And the album is expected to be released second half of 2011, but before that Blackroom now releasing a brand new single and will follow up with an EP produced by Ralph Myerz in May.

"Norwegian trio Blackroom has been holed up in a studio to records tracks for their forthcoming sophomore album. The group of Ole Gunnar Gundersen (vocals), Anders Winsents (guitar) and Pal Myran Haaland (keyboards, programming) are exclusively sharing a brand-new track with ArjanWrites.com that they wrote especially for the dark days of Christmas. This new effort is titled "Angel" and you can grab it totally-guilt free below.

Dominated by a throbbing bass line, Ole's emotive vocals and stark synths with the occasional glimmer, "Angel" is a buzzing slice of pop noire that pretty much defines the group's signature sound. Good to hear Blackroom moves into the new year full of energy, ideas and new songs to share."

First, the name was Sharon, the Israeli Prime Minister made it less wise. With Lorraine got the record deal in England and a hit with "I Feel It" in 2006. Pet Shop Boys hired them as opening act. Then the plate exposed and vulnerable.

Now the Lorraine had become the Black Room, and they do their first job at Hulen in Bergen on Friday.

- Everything that was printed in Lorraine, the burned, "says keyboardist and songwriter Paal Myran-Haaland on the phone from touring car.

Local exercises and equipment went into Skutevikbrannen.

- Since we started a bit with a clean slate, it felt very right, "says Myran-Haaland for Black Room name.

Dissolved

- What happened to the contract with Sony BMG UK?

- It was history because it was a purely business arrangement between our mother company in Norway, Waterfall Records, Sony BMG, which was dissolved. We and Ida Maria was returned to Norway rights-wise. There is no greater drama in it. We are still working with the Waterfall.

- Were not you disappointed?

- Absolutely not. We know how things work, and have the opportunity to various collaboration. There is absolutely no defeat, says Myran-Haaland.

The long-delayed album "Pop Noir" was released in Japan in 2009, and by mistake made available digitally in all territories.

Now, they build the name Black Room by playing much alive.

The band has concerts at the music and Rock'N'Lol.

POWER BAND

- Have you changed the style, too?

- It's probably a further development of the Lorraine. We are much more prepared to compromise with the new layout, says Paal Myran-Haaland.

- We play live as a trio, and is an electro band with fat guitars and great pop melodies.

Meanwhile, Black Room has established itself with its own studio in Bergen Meat.

- We have written a lot again, and test out different cooperation. Musically, we are at a very exciting place, "says Myran-Haaland.

Although he has been fond of electronic music since he was ten years old.

- It's fun to browse through discs I had lying around for years. Good old electrical engineering from the 90s.

- Do you have ambitions to create a radio hit now?

- Hehe, you never know how it glides. For my part, do not ignore the fact that it happens.Latoppbygningen known from Lorraine is still there. We have yet another weakness for that which is catchy, in a cool way.

- Have you got a black image now?

- We have always had an epic and dark expression. But it is certainly a little color in between, smiles Paal Myran-Haaland.
